Bhajan files nomination papers from Adampur along with wife

Hisar, Apr 30 (UNI) Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) candidate and former chief Minister Bhajan Lal today filed his nomination papers for the Adampur assembly byelection to be held on May 29.

His wife Jasma Devi also filed the nomination papers along with him as a covering candidate.

The couple was accompanied by the HJC chief and their son Kuldip Bishnoi and a large number of supporters.

Later, addressing a press conference here, Mr Bishnoi dared Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda (Congress) and Indian National Lok Dal chief Om Prakash Chautala to hold an open debate on the issue of development in the state with him and let the public decide for whom to vote.

He also alleged that Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has not fielded candidates in the byelection in Haryana for the benefit of the Congress.

''She is welcome to prove my claim wrong by announcing BSP candidates in the Haryana byelection,'' Mr Bishnoi stressed.
