6 mobiles, more than Rs 40,000 seized in Rourkela jail
Rourkela, Apr 30 (UNI) Six mobiles and more than Rs 40,000 in cash were weized from five inmates of the Rourkela Special jail during a raid today.
Police said acting on a tip off Superintendent of Police Ravikant and Additional District Magistrate S K Das raided the jail and seized six mobiles and Rs 40,320 in cash from Ayub Khan, Muna Khan, Roshan Ali, Sukru Bibhar and Param Singh.
Besides, some imported cigars, perfumes, mobile chargers and some kitchen utensils were also recovered.
Police said all the five were hardcrore criminals and involved in several cases of dacoity, kidnapping and murder.
Further investigation was on in this regard.
