Talks are on with SP for pre-poll adjustment-Chavan
Bangalore, Apr 29 (UNI) AICC General Secretary and Karnataka Incharge of assembly election Prithviraj Chavan today said talks were in progress for outside support of Samajwadi Party (SP) in the coming assembly elections.
Mr Chavan told reporters here that the party held several rounds of talks on alliance with SP, but failed as conditions laid down by it were difficult to be fulfilled.
''The talks are very much on and going in the direction of some kind of pre-poll adjustment in the coming days,'' he said.
He said the party's manifesto is almost ready and would be announced on May one.
The list of candidates for the second phase of election would be announced tomorrow, he said.
To a question on what action the party would take on the rebel candidates creating law and order problems in various parts of the state in last few days, he said he would take disciplinary action after getting the full report.
