Sesa Goa net up 216.37% at Rs 798.30 cr

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Iron ore exporter Sesa Goa Ltd today said the company registered a whopping 216.37 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 798.30 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 252.33 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

The total income jumped 116.21 per cent to Rs 1669.97 crore from Rs 772.38 crore in the said period.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 1492.00 crore for year the ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 606.41 during the previous fiscal, indicating a rise of 146.03 per cent.

The total income increased 79.19 per cent to Rs 3672.41 crore for the year ended March 2008 from Rs 2049.44 crore for the year ended March 2007.

The group has posted a net profit of Rs 811.58 crore for Q4 FY08 as compared to Rs 263.34 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, up by 260.18 per cent.

The total income increased 108.17 per cent to Rs 1732.34 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 832.16 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The group has posted a net profit increase of 138.59 per cent to Rs 1541.58 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 646.12 crore in the last year.

The total Income has increased 72.205 per cent to Rs 3897.06 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 2263.03 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
