Order inquiry into SSZs in city : APLPC Chairman
Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Land Protection Committee (APLPC) Chairman S Malla Reddy today demanded that the state government order an inquiry into the establishment of Sky Scrapers Zone (SSZs) and High Range Development Zones by the real estate companies under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limit.
Addressing the press here, he alleged that several irregularities and corruption had taken place while sanctioning permissions to SSZs and development zones.
The 'unviable' zones be shifted from the present places after the inquiry, he said and demanded that the government stop construction at their lands and instead develop parks, parking places and sports grounds in the city.
Urging the government to stop giving permission for construction of multi-storyed buildings, Mr Reddy said the money earned from the auction of government lands be utilised for providing civic amenities like laying roads, drinking water supply and streetlights.
