Maharashtra Governor congratulates ISRO chief
Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today congratulated the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO, G Madhavan Nair for successfully placing ten satellites, including the remote sensing satellite Cartosat-2 A, in orbit at the first attempt yesterday.
The Governor congratulated Mr Nair and said, ''This is a remarkable achievement by ISRO and its team.'' He said that the day will go down in the history of India's space programme as a 'golden-letter day'.
