Youth booked for attacking SP MLA

Agra, Apr 28: A youth booked for allegedly attacking Samajwadi Party MLA S P Singh Baghel yesterday will be produced in court today.

Alok Srivastava yesterday reached Mr Singh's residence and forced the latter to accept him as his son, even as Mr Singh's wife Madhu tried to pacify the youth, but he adamantly stuck to his demand of a DNA test.

Earlier, Alok had send several SMS to Mrs Singh acknowledging himself as her son.

The arguement further soared to the extent that Alok stabbed Mr Singh, however, he escaped the deadly attack and received only minor injuries.

Family members caught hold the culprit and handed him to police.

During interrogation, Alok told that he is a software engineer and hails from Delhi. He also said that his aunty told him that Mrs Madhu Singh is his mother.

Meanwhile, Alok's brother told police that the accused is 'mentally ill.' The youth was booked under sections 307 and 452 of the IPC.
