U'khand CM praises MP scheme
Gwalior, Apr 28 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuvan Chand Khanduri today claimed that the Madhya Pradesh government's 'Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana' would be a considerable relief to the poor segment that was finding it hard to have two square meals a day at a time of skyrocketing prices.
''By making foodgrain available at below-market prices to the poor, this state's government has fulfilled the responsibility of a public welfare-oriented regime,'' he said while addressing a consumer awareness camp here.
Referring to several decisions taken by the Centre's erstwhile Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, Mr Khanduri pointed out that the regime put in place a system for respectfully conveying martyr soldiers' bodies to their residences.
