Two held with forged passport

Nedumbassery, Apr 28 (UNI) Two passengers with forged passport were arrested by the emigration officials in the Kochi International Airport here today.

They were identified as Vijayan (44) from Thrissur and Hassainar (25).

Vijayan, who was on his way to Damam by Air India flight AI 911 at 0830 hrs, was intercepted by emigration officials. He was trying to board the flight using the passport of one Baby Kodungalloor.

He reportedly confessed to the emigration personnel that he had been travelling to Damam for the last ten years with the forged passport, which was obtained from Riyad when he lost his passport.

Hassainar, who reached the airport by Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL 165, was nabbed when the emigration personnel found that his passport was manipulated. He got the passport from an agent in Dubai.

The accused were handed over to Chengamanad police.
