TDP, Left parties stage dharna before SIRIS factory

Hyderabad, Apr 28 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), CPI and CPI (M) today staged dharna infront of South India Research Institute (SIRIS) where two workers suffered 95 per cent burns after a powerful explosion occurred in the factory yesterday.

The TDP and Left party local leaders and activists along with the locals staged dharna demanding the government close the factory immediately and take action against the management.

Meanwhile, police took the agiatating party leaders and activists into preventive custody.

The critically injured workers-- Sattibabu and Satyanarayana-- were admitted to Osmania General Hosptial yesterday evening. Their condition was stated to be very critical.
