Steel Processing Unit (SPU) to be set up in Gaya : Paswan

Patna, Apr 28 (UNI) Steel and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today announced that Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL) would establish a Steel Processing Unit(SPU) in Gaya district of Bihar.

Mr Paswan told reporters here that after Bettiah and Mahnar, SAIL had decided to establish SPU in Gaya district of Bihar, while Industrial Training Institue(ITI) would be set up in Samastipur district.

'' Foundation stone of SPU in Gaya and ITI in Samastipur will be laid within two months, '' he said adding three SPUs would also be established in Jharkhand.

Production in SPUs at Bettiah and Mahnar would begin by the end of this year.
