Reliance Energy rechristened Reliance Infrastructure

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Energy Ltd today said it has changed its name to ''Reliance Infrastructure Ltd'' with effect from today.

The company has received the certificate from the Registrar of Companies, said a statement.

Reliance Infrastructure has been engaged in a number of projects under implementation or under consideration in the field of not only power generation, transmission and distribution but also in several other infrastructural projects.

These include highways, roads, bridges, metro rail and other mass rapid transit systems, airports, special economic zones and real estate.

''The new name 'Reliance Infrastructure Ltd' appropriately reflects the current nature of businesses. The new identity redefines the Company's vision and focus to emerge as a premier infrastructure Company,'' the statement said.
