Police seize Rs 1.42 lakhs worth IMFL

Davanagere, Apr 28 (UNI) Police have seized 98 boxes of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs 1.42 lakhs in raids conducted at two places in Davanagere District yesterday and two persons were arrested in this connection.

Superintendent of Police Sonia Narang said that two houses were raided in Harapanahalli Taluk and one house in Jagalur Taluk and seized the IMFL cases which was allegedly stored for distribution to voters during election campaigning.

The arrested were remanded to judicial custody by a Magistrate before whom they were produced.
