N V Narasimha was appointed as DG Coast Guard
Mangalore, Apr 28 (UNI) Deputy Inspector General N V Narasimha took over as the Command of the Coast Guard District (Karnataka) vice Commandant M V Baadkar here on Saturday.
According to a press release issued here today by the Coast Guard, this was for the first time Coast Guard gets DIG.
Mr Narasimha during his 22 years of illustrious service commanded OPV, FPV and IPV class of ships at various parts of country. He has also served as Commanded Coast Guard District at Nicobar islands.
The officer was Chief of Staff at the Coast Guard Region (A&N) prior to this appointment. He has undergone International Maritime Officers' Course at US Coast Guard Training Centre at USA.
