Man sentenced to life for double murder
Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 28 (UNI) A local court here today sentenced one person to life imprisonment holding him guilty of murdering two women last year.
Additional district sessions judge D S Marathe held Jalander alias Janardhan Mahadev Mali guilty under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and awarded the sentence.
Jalander from Upalaviwadi village in Kadegaon tehsil of the district had stood trial for stabbing to death two women -- Sangeeta Dileep Mane (30) and her relative Indubai Dnyandev Patil (35) -- while they were grazing their farm animals.
