Kamal Nath unveils Mahatma Gandhi sculpture in Bankgkok

Bangkok, Apr 28 (UNI) Commerce Minister Kamal Nath today unveiled a sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi at the United Nations Conference Centre here.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Noppadon Pattama and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Noeleen Heyzer as well as Heads of Ministerial Delegations participating in the 64th session of UNESCAP were present on the occasion.

Mr Nath, who is in Bangkok to participate in the 64th session of UNESCAP, also discussed ways to accelerate boosting rice output per rai in preparation for the growing global food shortage with his Thailand counterpart.
