Heat wave prevails in city, despite decrease in temperature

Nashik, Apr 28 (UNI) The Nashik district of Maharashtra continued to reel under heat wave conditions with Malegaon registering the maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius today.

There was some respite for people in Nashik city as the maximum temperature inched downwards to 37.3 degrees Celsius after registering the highest temperature of the season at 41.4 degrees on April 24.

People in the district bore the burnt of the scorching heat in the state with streets remain deserted in the afternoon.

Cold drink and ice-cream outlets reported brisk business and sales of coolers also went up.
