Deep depression to bring rains
Visakhapatnam, Apr 28 (UNI) The deep depression which formed over south east and adjoining south west Bay of Bengal has moved North West and lay centered at about 600 km south east of Chennai at 2330 hrs.
A Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) spokesman said this morning the system was likely to intensify further and move North West of Chennai.
Under its influence, rainfall or thundershowers were likely over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours.
The sea would be rough to very rough.
Distant cautionary signal number one was hoisted at Machilipatnam, Visakhapatnam, Vadaravu Nizampatnam Ports and local sectional signal No 3 hoisted at Bheemunipatnam and Kakinada Ports, he added.
