Cousin sisters drown
Kancheepuram, Apr 28 (UNI) Two girls drowned when they went for a swim in a local pond in this district yesterday.
Police said cousin sisters Nandini (12) and Nithya (12) of Kizhperambanallur Colony went for the swim along with their friends Valarmathi and Ramya.
While Valarmathi and Ramya came out safely, Nandini and Nithya drowned.
Valarmathi and Ramya rushed home and informed the cousins' parents of the disaster.
The bodies were later fished out and the police sent them to the hospital for post-mortem.
