Court releases seized Chopper
Gulbarga, Apr 28 (UNI) District and Sessions Judge Joshi today ordered release of a Helicopter seized by the police on April 26 for landing in the District Armed Reserve Force (DARF) grounds without permission and on the charges of trespassing.
As per court direction, the Helicopter owner Escorts Company deposited Rs 13 Crore before it was flown to Bangalore.
The Helicopter, in which KPCC President Mallikarjun Kharge arrived here from Bangalore on Saturday to address party workers, was seized on a complaint filed by Deputy Superintendent of Police DARF for landing without permission and trespassing.
Judge Joshi has directed the police to produce the inquiry report and two photographs of the Helicopter besides asking owner to deposit Rs 13 Crore for the release.
