Congress, JD(S) have entered 'Post-poll pact': BJP

Shimoga, Apr 28 (UNI) BJP General Secretary Anant Kumar today alleged that Congress and the Janata Dal(S) have made a 'post-poll pact' to deny BJP a clear majority but this will fail.

Addressing a Press Conference here today after participating filing of nominations from BJP candidates in Theerthalli and Shimoga, he said that BJP's motto was to give stable and pro-people government in Karnataka.

He said that Congress was filled to the brim with dissidents and party hoppers, while JD(S) was filled with 'unhappy' leaders.

Hence, there was no alternative BJP in Karnataka and expressed confidence that the party would be elected to power and form a 'firm' government.

He said that out of 224 assembly constituencies BJP had already released the list of 216 candidates and remaining list of 8 candidates will be released within couple of days.

Former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda was making an unsuccessful attempt to stop forming single party majority government in the state and thereby trying to establish 'hanging government' in the state, he alleged.
