Central assistance to AP, Karnataka under PMGSY
New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 50 crore to Andhra Pradesh as part payment of the first instalment of Grant-in-aid for 2007-08 Phase-VI of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The amount will be received for the programme by an autonomous body -the Andhra Pradesh State Rural Roads Development Authority (APSRRDA).
An amount of Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned to Karnataka for Administrative/ Travel/Quality Control of Grant-in-Aid for 2008-09 of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The amount will be received for the programme by an autonomous body -Karnataka State Rural Roads Development Authority (KSRRDA).
Both the agencies will maintain separate account for this grant and submit Utilisation certificate and Audit Reports for the amount already released and amount being released now, to claim further amount due.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and is subject to the provisions of PMGSY Programme Guidelines and supplementary directions issued there under.
