2 stabbed to death after altercation, 2 held
Nagpur, Apr 28 (UNI) Two youngsters were taken into custody today after they allegedly stabbed two people to death and injured another after an altercation here.
Ashok Bhagchand Tandekar and Surendra alias Dilip Chunilal Bisen were injured seriously after they were stabbed in the stomach by two others during a petty quarrel in a slum here last night.
The duo were rushed to a hospital, where they succumbed to their wounds in the early hours today, police said. Rajesh Rajkumar Warekar (20) and Suju Vijay Gondya (24) have been taken into custody in this connection, police said.
Dilip is a friend of Ashok's brother-in-law Chhotu Gajane. Ashok, Dilip and Chhotu were sitting outside the house of Ashok's brother Kishore in the Vasantrao Naik Slum area last evening when Rajesh and Suju spoke to them in foul language. They went away when Kishore objected. However, a little while later, they returned, armed with sharp weapons, and stabbed Ashok and Dilip in the stomach, police said. The two also stabbed Kishore when he tried to intervene, and he is now undergoing treatment in a hospital.
Rajesh and Suju have been booked under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (acts by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC, police added.
