Three Moaists arrested in Vaishali

Hajipur, Apr 27 (UNI) Bihar police arrested three guerillas of proscribed CPI(Moaists) from different hideouts under separate police station areas in Vaishali district today.

Police said, a joint task force comprising sleuths of STF and local police swooped down on various hideouts of the Maoist guerillas in five villages under Pathepur and Jandaha police station areas of the district and arrested three hardcore members of the ultra outfit.

Police also recovered one rifle, one country made pistol, a gun and 22 live cartridges from the spot besides incriminating literature, police added.

Earlier, officer-in-Charge of Jandaha police station was injured in an encounter with the guerillas of the proscribed CPI(Maoist) at Athnama village in Vaishali district yesterday.
