Modi to inaugurate various works at Amreli

Rajkot, Apr 27 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate various developmental works at Amreli as part of the 49th Gujarat Foundation Day celebrations.

The Chief Minister will unveil the statues of Saint Kavi Bhojalramji and Mahatma Muldasji' after his arrival here from Gandhinagar on Wednesday.

Mr Modi would also attend the ''maha aarti'' at Kamnath Temple late in the evening after dedicating the re-constructed Kamnath Sarovar. He is then scheduled to inaugurate ''jyotigram circle'', constructed by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited.

On May 1, Mr Modi will participate in a ''Maha Rally'' to be organised as part of the ''Nirogi Bal Varsh Abhiyan (Healthy Child Campaign)'' from the Jivraj Mehta Chowk. The Gujarat government has decided to declare 2008-09 as the ''Year of Healthy Child''.

Mr Modi will also inaugurate several developmental works undertaken by his government in the Amreli district.

Gujarat Governor Naval Kishore Sharma would also be present for the Gujarat Foundation Day celebrations.
