Modi criticises UPA at Centre
Puttur, Daxina Kannada, Apr 27(UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today alleged that the Congress-led UPA Government at Centre was shedding 'Crocodile tears' towards the poorer sections of the Society.
Addressing an Election rally here he said that the Congress-led Government which came to power on the +Aam Aadmi Ke Saath+ slogan had failed to address the problems of the poorer sections of the society.
"On the contrary, it was addressing the problems of the richest people of the country," he alleged.
He lamented that the government which was not in a position to arrest the spiralling prices of the essential commodities could not give anything to these people which was maintaining silence throwing the common people's life to a miserable position. The poorer sections of the society are not in a position to afford food, as the prices have increased two times more than what it was during NDA regime about four years ago, he charged.
He challenged the congress leaders to open the ledger book and compare the prices during the NDA period and UPA period about the prices of essential commodities.
If the congress leaders like Ms Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Dr.
Manmhoan Singh have the guts, who are claiming that they were taking the country into developing stage, let them compare the figures of the development of the BJP-ruled states and non-BJP ruled states, he said adding that when compared with the BJP-ruled states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa, the developments of the Non-BJP ruled states were poor and miserable, he added.
Expressing his confidence, Mr Modi said that the BJP would definitely form the Government in Karnataka with absolute majority.
It is +final days+ for the congress in the coming assembly elections, he said.
Political instability in Karnataka, the development could not take and to save from this situation, the people should vote for BJP. Absolute majority was the necessity for the future of the state, he added.
He charged that the congress was lacking political will to contain the terrorism and naxalism in the country due to which several innocent people were killed by terrorists and naxalites.
