Minister son dies in road accident
Bhopal, Apr 27 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ramvichar Netam's son Surya Prakash was killed and three others were seriously injured in a road accident in the neighbouring Sehore district last night, police said today.
Surya Prakash (16) was on his way to Indore from here with his three friends when their car rolled down into a 100 feet deep gorge, 20 km from Sehore district headquarters at 2200 hrs.
All the four were injured seriously and were rushed to the district hospital at Sehore by the villagers. Later, they were admitted to Hamidia Hospital here where Surya Prakash was declared dead.
Surya Prakash, a resident of Vadrafnagar in Chhattisgarh's Sarguja district, was pursuing his studies here.
The body was taken to his native village Sanawar by Madhya Pradesh government's helicopter.
The divisional convention of Bharatiya Janata Party, which was scheduled today in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district, was postponed in view of the incident.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today placed a wreath on the mortal remains of Surya Prakash here at the State Hanger.
