Canara Bank Q4 net dips 8.12% to Rs 464.06 cr

New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Canara Bank said its net profit has decreased 8.12 per cent to Rs 464.06 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 505.09 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

Its total income, however, increased 17.34 per cent to Rs 4,502.27 crore for Q4FY08 as against Rs 3,836.71 crore for the same period a year ago.

The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1,565.01 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 compared to Rs 1,420.81 crore a year ago, a hike of 10.14 per cent.

Its total income also increased 28 per cent to Rs 16,413.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 12,815.51 crore during the previous fiscal.

The Group posted a net profit of Rs 1,795.33 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1,528.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Group's total income for FY08 stood at Rs 16,723.03 crore as against Rs 13,033.74 crore last fiscal.
