N-deal next move depends upon India

''This really is an issue that is in the Indian Government's court. If they are going to resolve their issues within their own political system, it's going to be up to them to do so based on the agreement that's on the table,'' State Department Spokesman Sean McCormack said in reply to a question yesterday.

Apparently, he was referring to the problems within India's ruling coalition in which the Left parties are dead set against the deal and have successfully blocked further progress on it.

Under the agreement, Energy-starved India will get access to US civil nuclear technology in return for submitting its non-military nuclear facilities for international inspection.
