Undertrial prisoner escapes from police custody

Vadodara, Apr 26 (UNI) An undertrial prisoner gave a slip to police today, while he was being treated in the S S G Hospital here.

Prakash Shantilal Parmar, who was arrested in 2006 in charges of theft was lodged in Central Jail here. He was admitted to S S G Hospital following complaints of ill health.

Parmar escaped by breaking window pane of the hospital toilet.

Police official Suhas Kedhkhare, who was guarding Parmar, has lodged a complaint.

A manhunt has been launched by police to nab him.
