Two nabbed with 10 bags of poppy husk
Sangrur, Apr 26 (UNI) Police seized 10 bags of poppy husk hidden inside an onion-laden tanker today near village Karail in Moonak sub-division of this district bordering Haryana.
On a tip-off, a police team, lead by ASI Angrez Singh recovered the contraband which was being smuggled into Punjab from the neighbouring state by Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Village Lalwa of Ratia sub-division of Haryana and Bikar Singh of Dirba of Sangrur district.
Both have been arrested under NDPS Act, police said.
