Leopard found dead in well in Mah
Nashik, Apr 26 (UNI) A leopard was found dead in a well in Wadgaon village in Sinnar taluka of this district in Maharashtra today.
Sources said foul smell emanating from a well in a field led to the discovery of the carcass. The well does not have much water in it and was not in use. Therefore, it could not be known as to when the leopard had fallen into the well.
However, in view of the condition of the body, the animal must have fallen in the well at least five days back, sources added.
The leopard was about two-and-half years old and a male.
The carcass has been sent for post-mortem to Nashik and the report was expected tomorrow, Sinnar taluka forest officer Rajan Gaikwad told UNI.
