Two killed as tractor-trolley falls in drain

Amritsar, Apr 25 (UNI) Two people were killed when their sugarcane loaded tractor-trolley fell into a drain on the Amrisar bypass this morning, police said.

The driver, identified as Joben, lost control over the tractor while negotiating a sharp curve on the bypass. The tractor-trolley plunged into the drain, leading to the death of the driver and a worker identified as Kallu.

The tractor-trolley from Lopoke was on the way to Rana Sugar Mill in Butari village.

After the post-mortem the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives by the police.
