TNERC approves PPA between TNEB and Cuddalore Power Co

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) has approved a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and Cuddalore Power Company Limited. /the agreement is for the 2 x 660 MW imported coal-fired thermal power project to be located in Thiyagavalli Village limits of Cuddalore district.

The capital cost of Rs 6,004 crore for the 1,320 MW project based on supercritical technology has been also approved, according to a TNERC press release here.

The project, promoted by the BGR Group, is being financed with a debt-equity ratio of 70:30, the release said.
