Titan sales touch Rs 3,041 crore

Bangalore, Apr 25 (UNI) Titan Industries achieved a record sales turnover of Rs 3,041 crore during the last financial year, registering a growth of 42.3 per cent compared to the previous year's sales.

The Company Directors had recommended a dividend of 80 per cent to its shareholders against 50 per cent given in the previous year, a release said here today.

The company's Profit Before Taxes (PBT) had increased by 53.7 per cent and stood at Rs 202.30 crore.

Net profit for the year stood at Rs 150.27 crore as compared to Rs 94.13 crore in the previous year.

During the quarter ended March 31, 2008, sales income grew by 27.5 per cent. While the watch segment sales grew by 11 per cent, Jewellery segment sales went up by 36 per cent as compared to the previous year. PBT for the quarter stood at Rs 69.99 crore.
