Swarovski Catwalk Jewellery dazzles Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) A collection of Swarovski's celebrated catwalk jewellery- ''Runway Rocks'' that was first launched in 2003 in London was displayed on thematic creations by fourteen renowned Indian and International fashion designers that dazzled the city's glitterati and ''fashion gurus'' here.

''It has been an honour to collaborate with local Indian designers and to experience their interpretation of the Runway Rocks'', said Nadja Swarovski, VP, Swarovski International Communications.

The line-up of Indian designers included Manish Arora, J J Valaya, Malini Ramani while the international designers included Collado Garcia, Pippa Small and Francis Mertens.

Highlights of previous collections created by top designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Philippe Ferrandis and Valentin Yudashkin were also displayed.

Using a backdrop inspired by the Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, models displayed the exquisite collection of crystals and jewellery in different themes that ranged from Suneet Verma's '' Shooting Star'', Manish Malhotra's ''A Beautiful Life'', Collado Garcia's '' Chimera'' and body art created by Ash Kumar using using Swarovski crystals.
