Rupee opens one-month high at 40.14 / USD

Mumbai, Apr 25: Rupee today opened one-month high at Rs 40.14/15 per USD with a small gain of three paise from its previous close at Rs 40.17 on fresh buying support from foreign banks along with bullish phase at the stock markets. Later, Rupee fluctuated wide range between 40.14 and 40.25 during the mid-session.

Brokers said, ''Rupee rose to a fresh one-month high this morning, weighed down by oil firms buying dollars, but traders said it could reverse course if inflation data to be released later turned out higher than expected.''
