Precious metals dip: Bombay Bullion Assn

Mumbai, Apr 25: The value of both the precious metals further declined as silver fell by Rs 295 per kg and gold by Rs 125 per ten gm on sluggish demand by ornament makers in the opening session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

In the international market on the second consecutive day today mixed trend was observed, as gold recorded at USD 884.70/885.70 an ounce, little changed from USD 885.25/886.45 an ounce late in New York yesterday while silver edged up to USD 16.71/16.77 an ounce from USD 16.68/16.78 an ounce following the dollar rise, Singapore market report said.

Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the bullion market here today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 22,880 Gold (per 10 gm) 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 11,605 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 11,660
