Phundkar continues to be leader of Opposition

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition Pandurang Phundkar, who was re-elected as the MLC for the second consecutive term in the recently held biennial elections, will continue to be in the same post.

An announcement to this effect was made by Chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh in the State Legislative Council today.

He also announced that senior Shiv Sena leader Diwakar Raote will be the leader of Shiv Sena group in the Council. Till recently, Mr Madhukarrao Sarpotdar was the leader of the group, but after his retirement Mr Raote has been given the same responsibility.
