Pen-down strike in AIR and DD offices

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) A pen-down strike was today observed in All India Radio and Doordarshan offices across the country to support 'the fast-unto-death' by the Administrative Employees of Prasar Bharati, which started on April 22.

According to a release here, the financial and personnel administration work in Prasar Bharati -- All India Radio and Doordarshan -- all over the country came to a standstill because of the pen-down strike.

The fast-unto-death agitation, which entered its fourth day today, demanded the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister to implement the assurances given to the association office bearers to resolve wage discrimination.
