Kamal Shah's body buried

Puducherry, Apr 25: The body of Kamal Shah, the life convict in the 1999 Parvathi Shah Rape and Murder Case who allegedly committed suicide at the Central Prison, was today buried by the municipal authorites here.

The body of Shah,the son of a diamond merchant, was kept in the mortuary of the Government General Hospital here for the last four days after post-mortem.

As none of his relatives came down to Puducherry to collect it and as his mother reportedly requested the authorities here to peform the last rites to Mr Shah and bury him here, the body was laid to rest by the municipal authorities.
