Islamabad court dismisses plea to halt Parliament moving judges restoration resolution

Islamabad, Apr.25 : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has termed the petition relating to the plea for halting the parliament moving resolution for the restoration of judges as not maintainable, and dismissed it.

Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, in whose court this petition was presented, after a brief hearing and examining the objection of the Registrar office, termed this petition non-maintainable and disposed it off.

The petitioner Molvi Iqbal Haider didn't appear before the court on the occasion of hearing.

It may be recalled that Molvi Iqbal Haider on Thursday, while filing a petition in IHC had taken the stand that the resolution on the issue of judges in parliament was a contravention of Article 199 of the Constitution.
