Indiscipline in party will not be tolerated: Tripathi
Varanasi, Apr 25 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party president Ramapati Ram Tripathi today said any indisciplinary act committed by party members would not be tolerated.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Tripathi alleged that BJS supremo Uma Bharati had committed indiscipline, the question of taking her back in the party does not arise, however, the final decision for her induction depends on the party High Command.
Defending his party on the recent bypoll debacle, he said traditionally all the seats were Congress' weak seats ''We had fielded our candidates to increase the percentage of the votes, which had increased,'' he claimed.
Still ''we were making assessment where we failed,'' he added.
Making a scathing attack on UP and the Central government, the leader said people have now lost faith in both BSP-led UP government and Congress-led Central government, they wanted a change.
Mr Tripathi said the law and order situation had deteriorated during the eleven-month BSP regime. The criminals were committing crimes and moving freely.
Expressing concern over the dismal condition of farmers, he said the farmers had suffered a lot from both BSP and Congress government, they were living a life of penury and were not getting the proper price for their products.
Price-hike, another major concern, was at its peak and people were feeling helpless.
He further attacked BSP government saying ''the government is spending crores of rupees on statues, parks and construction of memorials, while the majority of people in state are hungry and unemployed.'' Ms Maywati, who claimed to be the well wisher of dalits had so far done nothing for them, he added.
