GlaxoSmithKline registers PAT Rs 566 million
Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has posted Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 566 million for its first quarter ended as on March 31, registering a 33.6 per cent increase.
The company's first quarter, sales stood at Rs 4,106 million, up by 25.7 per cent, with Profit Before Tax (PBT) growing by 34.1 per cent to Rs 864 million, a release said today.
The company's first quarter performance was led by strong brand-led activities, with focus on specific consumer base that include the launch of Women's Horlicks for women and ActiBase that tapped into the fast growing specialist nutrition segment.
Sales of the company's regular brands - Horlicks and Boost were also strong with the former achieving its highest ever sales.
Cricket stars, M S Dhoni and Ishant Sharma were also signed as new brand ambassadors for Boost, the release added.
