Excise Superintendent arrested in assets case

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested the Excise Superintendent of Nizamabad on the charge of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to a release here, simultaneous searches were conducted by the ACB officials at the residence of Excise Superintendent K Narasimha Reddy and his relatives' residence at Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Nalgonda.

Disproportionate assets worth over Rs 65 lakh were unearthed in the raids.

The total assets include two plots at Ibrahimpatnam, four apartments,a three-storeyed building, 133 tolas of gold worth Rs ten lakh and six kg of silver ornaments worth Rs one lakh, Rs 95,000 in cash, bank balance worth Rs four lakh and insurance worth Rs 3.5 lakh.
