Eight killed in road mishap

Bhagalpur, Apr 25 (UNI) Altogether eight people, including a woman, were killed and twenty seriously injured when a mini bus collided head-on with a Tata Sumo on NH-31 under Kharik police station in district tonight.

Sub-divisional officer Sahdev Prasad Singh said the accident occurred near Bagari village when the bus carrying the marriage party collided with another vehicle. Five people were killed on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital.

The condition of 12 injured was stated to be critical, Mr Singh added. They were rushed to Bhagalpur Medical College Hospital while others injured were admitted to Navgachhiya Sub-divisional hospital.
