Bullion contracts suffer losses

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) All bullion contracts suffered losses, including gold October 08 contract, down by 1.46 per cent at Rs 11,598 per 10 grams and gold February 09 contract down by 3.11 per cent at Rs 11,675 per 10 grams.

Silver contracts also followed the trail, including a 1.88 per cent decline in silver September 08 contract at Rs 22,524 and 1.67 per cent fall in silver December 08 contract at Rs 22,775 per kg, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Metal contracts were also knocked down. Lead June 08 contract lost 1.74 per cent at Rs 110.30 per kg and tin May 08 contract lost 2 per cent at Rs 942.75 per kg.

Crude oil May 08 contract advanced by 1.06 per cent at Rs 4,674 per barrel.

The downward trend gripped agriculture contracts also.

Refsoyoil June 08 contract shed 1.47 per cent at Rs 562.50 per 10 kgs. In cardamom, May 08 contract lost 3.93 per cent at Rs 636 per kg.

Chana July 08 contract went up by 2.98 per cent at Rs 2658 per quintal and cardamom May 08 contract went down by 3.93 per cent at Rs 636 per kg, a MCX release said.
