Bommai resigns Council seat to contest in Assembly election
Hubli, Apr 25 (UNI) Mr Basavaraj Bommai today said that he has resigned from the Karnataka Legislative Council membership to contest in the Assembly election from Shiggaon constituency on BJP ticket.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that he had served the people of this region during the last one decade and had worked for the overall development including drinking water project of Kalasa-Bandoori Nala diversion, institution of gram panchayat powers etc.
Replying to a question, he said that discontent over distribution of tickets is common in all parties, but Congress goonda culture is not in BJP.
