Bharat Electronics Q4 net up 41.36 pc at Rs 504.83 cr

New Delhi, Apr 25: Bharat Electronics Ltd today said its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 increased by 41.36 per cent to Rs 504.83 crore as compared to Rs 357.12 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for Q4FY08 grew nearly 31 per cent to Rs 2,345.94 crore as against Rs 1,791.60 crore in the same period a year ago.

Bharat Electronics net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 increased to Rs 766.95 crore, whereas it was Rs 718.16 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Its FY08 total income increased to Rs 4,299.56 crore from last year's Rs 4,088.81 crore.

The Group's net profit for FY08 witnessed a hike of 6.24 per cent to Rs 777.20 crore as compared to Rs 731.55 crore for the same period a year ago.

Its total income for FY08 grew 4.85 per cent to Rs 4,452.34 crore from Rs 4,246.33 crore a year ago.
