Temperatures remain above normal in HP
Shimla, Apr 24 (UNI) Summers have finally arrived here in Himachal Pradesh with several areas of the state recording day and night temperatures three to five degrees above normal,the Met office today said.
Una town was the hottest place in the state during the last 24 hours with the day temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, which was about six degrees above normal, while Mandi town recorded a high of 36.2 degrees.
The Met office said Shimla town recorded a day temperature of 25.5 degrees, as against 26.1 degrees yesterday, which was five degrees above normal for this period.
Bhuntar town recorded a slight fall in the day temperature, which stood at 32.6 degrees, as compared to yesterday's 33 degrees, it said.
The day temperature at Kalpa in Kinnuar district stood at 21 degrees, while the tourist resort of Dharamshala recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6 degrees.
The Met office said the state capital's minimum temperature remained stationary at 16.3 degrees and was about four degrees above normal.
Sundernagar recorded a night temperature of 14.6, Bhuntar 11.5, Kalpa 5.5, Dharamshala 18.5, Una 13.5 and Mandi 16.4 degrees Celsius.
The Met office has forecast dry weather in the state during the next 24 hours.
